Château Montrose may not produce a white wine, but its sister estate, Château Tronquoy, has become the perfect outlet for the team's exploration of Bordeaux Blanc. Crafted by the very same winemaking team, Tronquoy Blanc showcases the precision and attention to detail that have made Montrose one of Bordeaux's greatest estates.

The vineyard is planted with Sémillon and Sauvignon Gris sourced from the same clonal material as Château La Mission Haut-Brion. Rather than following the classic Bordeaux Blanc style of bright citrus and crisp acidity, Tronquoy Blanc offers a richer, more textural interpretation. Barrel fermentation, extended ageing on the fine lees and regular bâtonnage create impressive depth and complexity, while preserving freshness and balance.

The result is a wine of remarkable individuality. Aromas of lemon peel, lemon curd and white flowers are complemented by subtle, beautifully integrated oak and a pronounced mineral character. Broad and creamy on the palate yet wonderfully precise, it has more in common with a fine Meursault than a traditional Bordeaux Blanc, making it an outstanding gastronomic wine with excellent ageing potential.
