The estate's modern chapter began in the early 1980s when Elisabetta Geppetti, often referred to as the "Lady of Morellino," took over the reins. Under her leadership, the winery released its first official label, the Morellino Riserva 1978, in 1982. This marked the beginning of Fattoria Le Pupille’s rise to prominence.

The pivotal year was 1985 when Elisabetta, along with renowned winemaker Giacomo Tachis, redefined the estate's potential by introducing new techniques and focusing on high-quality production. This collaboration led to the creation of Saffredi in 1987, a wine that has since become the flagship of Fattoria Le Pupille and put Maremma on the map as a region capable of producing world-class wines.

In 1996, the acquisition of the Poggio Valente vineyard further enhanced the estate's reputation, adding significant breadth and depth to its portfolio. Today, Fattoria Le Pupille covers 75 hectares of vineyards and remains a family-run enterprise committed to sustainability and excellence in winemaking.

Terroir of Maremma:
