One of a pair of Nom Pinot Noirs on the market, this comes from a windy site at 700 metres on Bokkeveld shale. Fermented with 15% whole bunches, it's a red for Burgundy lovers, all wet earth, tangy minerality, pomegranate and red cherry, embellished by 25% new wood. Impressive stuff from Jessica Saurwein. 2026-30

Wine MagChristian Eedes,
W.O. Elandskloof. Matured for 10 months in 228-litre barrels, partially new. Expressive aromatics of orange, musk, red cherry and white pepper. The palate is opulent – saturated with ripe fruit, just enough acidity and smooth tannins. A wine of presence and generosity. Alcohol: 14%.
