Ple lemon and lime. 40% in terracotta amphora, new this year. Currently noticeably reductive. There is more weight to this, a white fruit flesh on the palate, with significant length. Once the reduction and oak are harmonised, this will be excellent. Drink from 2027-2032. Tasted Oct 2024.
The 2023 Puligny-Montrachet Clos des Noyers Brets is matured half in 600-liter amphora and half in regular barrels, which means there is a bit of reduction on the nose. The palate is much more expressive and promising, with notes of apricot and lime, and a fine bead of acidity. Quite elegant in style, afford this a couple of years in bottle.
