The story of Pym-Rae traces its origins to a passion for winemaking and a reverence for the land. The estate was previously owned by the late Robin Williams, named after his children, and it spans over a scenic expanse of land that showcases the diverse microclimates and soil types typical of the area. The winery's current custodians, having taken over in 2015, have embraced the rich heritage of this site, while embedding their personal philosophy of wine production — one that honors the vineyard's intrinsic qualities.

Pym-Rae found a profound kinship with the esteemed Château Pontet-Canet, a revered winery in the Pauillac appellation of Bordeaux when the Tesseron family, owners of Pontet-Canet, acquired it in 2016.
