Boizel

BoizelProducer from Champagne, France

Since its inception in 1834, Champagne Boizel has stood as a symbol of excellence in the heart of Épernay, a prestigious region synonymous with the finest sparkling wines in the world. This family-owned jewel of the Champagne region has not only withstood the test of time; it has thrived, blending tradition with innovation to produce champagnes of remarkable character and finesse.

Rooted in the famous chalky soils of Champagne, the Boizel house meticulously selects and cultivates its grapes from the finest crus. These prized terroirs, coupled with the region's ideal climatic conditions, yield the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes that compose the symphony of Boizel's champagne.

From generation to generation, the Boizel family has passed down time-honoured methods of viticulture and winemaking, respecting the delicate balance between human touch and nature's bounty. Following the intricate méthode champenoise, every bottle of Boizel champagne is crafted with patience and precision. Primary fermentation is followed by careful blending, ensuring that each cuvée reflects the house's signature style and complexity.

Secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle, where the champagne develops its effervescent spirit over several years. Boizel's cellars, excavated from chalk in the mid-19th century, offer the perfect sanctuary for this slow maturation process. These chalk caves provide a naturally regulated environment, essential for the development of the wine's fine bubbles and distinctive bouquet.

The Boizel family's passion for their craft is evident in every glass. Their flagship Brut Réserve personifies the elegance and balance that champagne enthusiasts have come to expect from the Maison. It unveils a refreshing crispness and harmoniously intertwined flavours of apple, pear, and hints of citrus zest, complemented by a subtle touch of brioche arising from prolonged ageing on the lees.
