The 2024 Riesling Winninger Uhlen Grosses Gewächs is almost completely closed on the nose. The palate is sleek, uniting stone, dried lime peel and the tartness of ripe apple. It is solid, sleek, stony and timeless. Everything is yet to unfold. The 2024 has solidity and stoniness, but comes with an elegant, if not slender, footprint. Bit by bit, the citrus shines through. Give this time, it has all it needs to last the distance. (Bone-dry)
