Jean-Marc Seleque Soliste Pinot Noir 1er Cru Les Gayeres 2015 (Magnum)

Disgorged in January 2020 with 2.5 grams per liter dosage, Sélèque's 2015 Extra-Brut Soliste Pinot Noir Pierry 1er Cru Les Gayères is showing nicely, wafting from the glass with scents of red apple, pear, clear honey, blanched almonds and confit citrus. Medium to full-bodied, crisply fleshy and precise, it's chalky and fine-boned, but the pretty and incipiently complex aromatics don't quite translate to the sort of concentration and texture they lead one to expect.
