Balanced, juicy, characterful, with waves of rose petals, crushed raspberries and a touch of grilled oak. Combines precision and carefully-placed tannic architecture with a generosity of spirit, lifting the foot off the pedal exactly when you want it to. This is great winemaking, well judged and full of joy, one of the wines of the lineup. Tasted again at home with friends, and it's a wine that you want to share. Fermented and aged in large oak casks.
Deep and heady on the nose. Fragrant with hints of blood, iron and saltiness. Nice energy to this, there’s a clarity and precision with great detail and definition to the elements. Tannins coat the mouth in a fine layer of flavour with lots of minerality on the finish. A little quieter than some Colore but this has depth and such nuance. After a few minutes the flavours evolve and widen giving juicy, almost sweet and fleshy strawberry with a tangy acidity that keeps everything lifted. Such an amazing wine, clearly confident but understated and not shouting at all. Bibi is excellent.
A focused, old-vine sangivoese with dried cherry, mushroom, bark and blackberry aromas and flavors. Turns to lavender and roses. Medium-bodied with savory fruit and a spicy, juicy finish, Bright and vivid, with just a touch of balsamic at the end telling you its soul is in Tuscany. Drink or hold.
