Ballot Millot Meursault Premier Cru Perrieres 2022

The 2022 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru comes from a parcel of 50-year-old vines. It has a typical Perrières bouquet with crushed limestone infusing the citric fruit, maybe less entrancing than the Genevrières but well-defined. The palate is well-balanced with a lively entry, a taut line of acidity, and hints of egg whites and orange rind towards the persistent finish. Excellent.
